The Media Center at Cartersville Elementary School is a very
popular place. Over 800 students are encouraged to take advantage
of the open policy of the media center and come to read, browse,
conduct research or just check out a book.
The staff of the media center, led by
and
, is always available to make suggestions of an exciting book
title or assist in finding appropriate research materials.
Students can check out two books at a time from the collection
of 21,000 items, carefully selected to support the school’s
curriculum.
During the school year students take part in many motivational
reading programs including the annual CES Book Swap, Georgia
Children’s Book Award program and the Principal’s
Book of the Month.
