The Guidance Office and Vocational Department jointly provide a multi-faceted Career Center for student and parent use. The Career Center is located in the Career/Tech Office. Students and parents are encouraged to take advantage of the many services available in the Career Center regarding educational and career options after high school.
To help with this important decision the Career Center has:
• Paper and electronic applications for Colleges/Universities/Technical Schools
• Computer access to college searches and career information
• Printed and video materials & CD's about schools and careers
• Scholarship information and applications
• Hispanic College Fair
• PROBE College Fair in the fall--all seniors will attend
• Appointments with college admission representatives and armed services recruiters who visit CHS
• Georgia Career Information System--GCIS (Career Interest Survey, colleges/universities/technical schools, financial aid information) Contact the CHS Career Center for current user ID/Password.
• SAT and ACT preparation books
• NCAA Clearinghouse information
• Career Cruising (web-based career and post-secondary school information and search)
