Applications for Colleges and Technical Colleges
Requirements and deadlines vary from institution to institution; therefore, it is very important to begin the application process early and to meet deadlines. We recommend that seniors complete the application process by the end of November.
If an application requires a reference or letter of recommendation, the student should request a recommendation well in advance (two weeks) of the deadline. It is usually not possible for a teacher, counselor, employer, or personal friend to give you a well-thought-out recommendation on short notice.
Apply online at the institution's website or through GACollege411.org. After the application is submitted electronically, the student must send a transcript.
Transcripts
For Georgia colleges, send your transcript through GACollege411.org. For out of state colleges, request a transcript from the Guidance Office. Written authorization by a parent is required before an official transcript can be sent to a third party or institution.
